JONESBORO, AR - Ritter Communications TV customers that have a Netflix account will now be able to view the service on their TV through Ritter’s Whole Home DVR. In addition, the Ritter Whole Home DVR will give customers the ability to stream YouTube, Pandora and other popular apps without switching devices on their TV.
Netflix and YouTube are available from the Whole Home DVR main menu. They are also located within the “App” menu, and customers can find the apps in the channel guide on channels 2500 (Netflix), 2501 (YouTube) and 2502 (Pandora).
“Simplifying access to Netflix content and other applications is another example of Ritter Communications’ ongoing commitment to giving our customers the entertainment they want most,” said Jane Marie Woodruff, Ritter Communications Director of Marketing. “Customers who may not have previously owned a device capable of accessing Netflix can now stream thousands of movies and shows on their TV with the click of a button. Having apps like Netflix available through Whole Home DVR also makes it easier for families to enjoy this entertainment together rather than each watching their own devices. Our customers are sure to enjoy this new feature.”
Customers will be prompted to sign in when accessing the Netflix service for the first time on their Whole Home DVR. Customers will continue to pay Netflix directly for its service.
Ritter Communications customers with Netflix subscriptions will be able to easily browse and access the extensive online collection of Netflix TV shows and movies alongside the live and DVR programming included with their Ritter Communications Whole Home DVR.
The Ritter Whole Home DVR is Ritter Communications’ whole-home video platform based on Arris hardware and Espial technology. It allows viewers to pause and playback live TV; record up to six programs at the same time in five different rooms; record up to 75 hours of HD programming; start watching a show in one room and finish it in another and use a mobile device as a remote with the free Follow Me TV App.
