JONESBORO, AR – Thanks to a promotion through Ritter Communications, Melissa Dooley of Brookland, Ark. recently enjoyed “the trip of a lifetime.”

Dooley was one of four grand prize winners of the MTV Video Music Awards Sweepstakes, made available by Ritter Communications through the National Cable Television Cooperation (NCTC) and Viacom, the parent company of MTV. Dooley entered the contest in response to an email she received from Ritter Communications, and her prize included a four-day, three-night trip to Los Angeles for the 2017 MTV VMAs. Dooley and her husband Chris enjoyed complimentary airfare, three nights in a luxury Los Angeles hotel, food and drinks, a “swag bag,” VIP access to parties and tickets to the MTV Video Music Awards. The estimated retail value of the trip was $4,000.

“It was just a phenomenal experience and we are so grateful for the opportunity,” Melissa Dooley said. “We were treated like rock stars the entire time. It was an amazing trip and we’ll never forget it.”

Dooley was one of 950 entrants in the national contest. She entered the sweepstakes after receiving a promotional email from Ritter. The contest was open to those who subscribe to video services from an NCTC member cable system operator such as Ritter Communications.  While participants were eligible to enter once per day throughout the contest’s duration, Dooley responded just one time. The Dooleys spent four nights in the Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood. On Friday and Saturday night, they attended The Avalon, a historic Hollywood club, where they enjoyed performances from Katy Hill, the Cheat Codes and the Bleechers, Noah Cyrus and DNCE. Their Sunday included an MTV-sponsored pre-party, a walk down the red carpet and photo opportunity with the MTV “Moon Man” trophy, seats at the Forum for the MTV VMA show and a post party.

“When I received the call telling me I’d won, I was just in shock,” Dooley said. “I couldn’t believe it. We’re so grateful to Ritter Communications for providing this opportunity. It really was the trip of a lifetime.”
