BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. (February 28, 2023) – Ritter Communications announces the company’s sponsorship of the 43rd Annual St. Jude Radio/Cablethon broadcasting live from Blytheville on Saturday, March 4. This annual event raises funding for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, one of the world’s premier centers for researching and treating childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

This is Ritter Communications 16th consecutive year sponsoring the event. The Radio/Cablethon has raised over $3.7 million in donations over the past 15 years. Another successful year of raising funds for St. Jude is anticipated.

Saturday’s Cablethon will be broadcast live from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Ritter Communications local access channel, Tubetown, which is channel 21 in Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri and channel 11 in West Tennessee. The Tubetown production of the Cablethon will also be streaming on YouTube Live, allowing viewers around the world to watch. Visit www.YouTube.com/Tubetownonline Saturday to see the live production. KHLS Thunder Country 96.3 FM, a Blytheville-based Sudbury Broadcasting radio station, leads the Radiothon and will air the audio portion of Tubetown’s Cablethon.

The programming focuses on St. Jude to promote the weekend’s events and solicit pledges from listeners. Donations may be pledged during the day of the event by calling the St. Jude Donation number, 800-303-1045.

The ESA Sorority, the women’s civic club established in Northeast Arkansas who has taken ownership of the event for many decades, fundraises year-round to ensure the success of the Radio/Cablethon. The ladies of ESA are dedicated to producing this community-focused event.

St. Jude is well known for its commitment to finding a cure for childhood cancer and never billing patients for treatment, travel, housing or food. For this reason, the success of the Cablethon directly impacts terminally ill patients being treated at St. Jude.

“We are honored to once again work with the ladies of ESA to deliver this impactful event,” said Jessica Odom, Ritter Communications Public Relations Manager. “Each year we are amazed at community members and our employees’ outpouring of support for the Cablethon.”
